How Do We Know the End is Very Near? (World: Bible #Prophecy)

1) Christianity is the largest religion/faith in the world:
Matthew 24:14 KJV
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

2) Christianity is the most persecuted religion/faith in the world:
Matthew 24:9 KJV
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

3) ...just read the entire chapter of Matthew 24 KJV...and you will end up with almost every line in that chapter as a bullet point. (YUP!)

More...verse 24: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

...25 Behold, I have told you before.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

2 Timothy 3:2 KJV
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

1 John 4 KJV (John, apostle/prophet): (I recommend you reading the whole epistle of 1 John...it will deeply change your perception of Bible prophecy and the word of God as a whole)

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

John 14: A Place For You in God's Kingdom (You Already Know The Way)

A Study of The Words of Jesus in John Chapter 14
God's Kingdom (artist's rendition)

John 14 (Aramiac-to-English)
1. "Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God and believe in me." *
2. "There are many lodgings in my Father's house, and if not, I would have told you, because I go to prepare a place for you."
3. "And if I go prepare a place for you, I shall come again and bring you to join me, that where I am you shall be also."
4. "And where I am going, you know, and you know the way."
5. Thoma said to him, "Our Lord, we do not know where you are going and how can we know the way?"
6. Yeshua said to him, "I AM THE LIVING GOD, The Way and The Truth and The Life; no man comes to my Father but by me alone."
7. "If you had known me, you also would have known my Father, and from this hour you do know him and you have seen him." ~ Jesus Christ (Yeshua/The Son of God)

Here, in these first opening seven verses of John 14, Jesus is re-assuring us that we should not worry; opening up the chapter with a sense of security and freedom for us:
"Let not your heart be troubled" (have no worries of the following matter, he's not lying to us). If he has left us, he will come back after preparing a place for you and me in the Kingdom of God, if we believe, have no worries, and we are confident that he's not lying to us.

He also proposes to us that we already know, as disciples of truth, where He's going, and that we know the way. Why? (But why does he imply this term?)

After one of his close disciples asks Him, he replies; "I AM THE LIVING GOD, The Way and The Truth and The Life; no man comes to my Father but by me alone." Reference: (Genesis 1:26) And God said, "Let us make man according to *our image and likeness," ("our image and likeness" means that there was more than one person present, which can only be three possible identities that we know are eternal from reading the Scriptures: God The Father, God The Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. So, in reality, Jesus can say the He is the Living God as well as God the Father, because He also shares the attribute of being able to create things (someone we call "a God," God The Son/The Son of God). Furthered more, he says in verse 7, "If you had known me, you also would have known my Father, and from this hour you do know him and you have seen him." Why does He say this? Isn't God The Father someone else, as He also tells us in various other verses, is a separate entity? Let's look at a few things to help us understand this: John 4:24 King James Version (KJV) "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." ~ Apostle John (John the prophet/revelator). So, here on this verse, earlier in the Gospel of John, he is telling us that God is a Spirit. So, if God is a Spirit, then the only person that He could be referring to here is God The Father, since Jesus was physically present with us here on Earth. So, here we see that God is not a human creation like us (of course), He is a Spirit. But Jesus says that if you have seen Him, you have also seen the Father. So then, the only physical person that we can see here is Jesus Himself, if God is a Spirit. So, then here again Jesus is telling us that He is also our Father and creator (back to my reference of Genesis 1:26: we were made in the image of all three: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, so we have a soul that is spiritual and with characteristics of all three-in-one).

In verse 9, one more time, Jesus makes His point; "All this time I am with you and you have not known me Phillip? Whoever has seen me has seen The Father, and how do you say, 'Show us The Father'?" Jesus is also our father, because He also had a hand in creating us. So, He is making sure that Phillip is confident in knowing that He is also our father.

Verses 10 through 16:
10. * "Do you not believe that I am in my Father and my Father in me? The words which I am speaking, I am not speaking from myself, but my Father who dwells within me, he does these works." (Here Jesus is making it clear that God is dwelling in Him as a Spirit. In other words, the Spirit of God The Father is with Him all the time.)

11. "Believe that I am in my Father and my Father in me, otherwise believe because of the works." (If you don't believe, then look at the works I perform.)

12. "Timeless truth, I tell you: 'whoever believes in me, those works which I have done he will also do, and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the presence of my Father.' " 13. "And anything that you will ask in my name I shall do for you, that The Father may be glorified in his Son."
14. "And if you will ask me in my name, I shall do this." (Anything that we ask Jesus for, as true believers, and it is a profitable thing for us (of course), Jesus is presenting to God The Father in heaven. Reference: 1 John 5:7 King James Version (KJV) "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." ~ Apostle John/the prophet/revelator)

Verses 15 through 31:
15. "If you love me, keep my commandments." (Keep the commandments of God The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, which are one-in-the same/The Law/The Ten Commandments)

16. "And I shall request from my Father and he will give you another Redeemer of the accursed*, that he will be with you for eternity. (The Helper/The Holy Spirit, which God sent to us as described in Acts 2, after Jesus Had ascended to heaven, as He promised.)

17. "He is The Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it has neither seen him nor known him; but you know him, for he dwells with you and he is in you."

18. "I shall not leave you as orphans, for I shall come to you in a little while." (Jesus is making known to us that He will return, as the prophecies of the rest of the Bible tell us.)

19. "And the world will not see me, but you shall see me; because I live, you also shall live." (Jesus will live in spirit with us, and we see His works [if we have the eyes to see and the ears inclined to His words])

20. At that day, you will know that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you."
21. "Whoever has my commands and keeps them, he does love me, but he who loves me shall be loved from my Father and I shall love him, and I shall show myself to him." (Jesus will make Himself manifest spiritually to you at a personal/intimate level.)

22. Yehuda said to him (he was not Scariota), "My Lord, how is it you are going to show yourself to us and not the same to the world?" 23. Yeshua answered and said to him, "Whoever loves me keeps my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and we will make our lodging with him." Here Jesus is telling them that this is happening at a spiritual level, but they're not really understanding what the spiritual concept is. Jesus is telling us that if we regard His words as truth and as reality, and live our lives by them, then His spirit and The Father's spirit will dwell with us.

24. "But he who does not love me does not keep my word, and this word which you are hearing is not mine, but The Father's who has sent me." (He's telling us that God The Father has directly given Him these words which He is speaking, that they come directly from Him.)

25. "I have spoken these things with you while I am with you." 26. "But he, The Redeemer of the accursed, The Spirit of Holiness, whom my Father sends in my name, he will teach you all things and he will remind you of everything whatsoever I have told you." (The Holy Spirit lives in us, guides us, and shows/teaches us new things, who believe in His truth.)

27. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. It is not as the world gives that I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, and do not let it be afraid." (The peace that Jesus brings to us cannot be found from any other source in this fallen world. And for us not be mentally troubled or afraid.)

28. "You have heard that I said to you, 'I am going away, and I am coming to you'; if you had loved me, you would have rejoiced that I am going to join my Father, for my Father is greater than I." 29. "And now, behold, I have told you before it happens, that when it has happened, you may believe." (Jesus makes known to the apostles and disciples ahead of time that He would have to depart from the world and join God the Father again (who is greater than He is), and that He would later come back as the prophecies tell us.)

30. "After this I will not be speaking much with you, for The Prince of the world is coming and he has nothing to use against me*. (Satan, the deceiver of this world, as we know it, is described as the The Prince of this world by Jesus here, as he inherited dominion over or spiritual world through deceiving Adam and Eve, back at the Garden of Eden.)

31. But that the world may know that I love my Father, and just as my Father has taught me, so I have done. Rise up, let us depart from here." ~ Jesus Christ (Yeshua/The Son of God)

The Great Hope, by Ellen G. White: Chapter 2 — Hope for Triumph Over Evil

(sections in this post: Grace from Christ, A Vigilant Foe, and Angels Help)

Chapter intro-

"I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel." Genesis 3:15. This enmity is not natural. When man transgressed the divine law, his nature became evil, in harmony with Satan. Fallen angels and wicked men united in desperate companionship. Had not God interposed, Satan and man would have entered into an alliance against Heaven, and the whole human family would have been united in opposition to God. When Satan heard that enmity should exist between himself and the woman, and between his seed and her seed, he knew that by some means man was to be enabled to resist his power.

Grace from Christ

Christ implants in man enmity against Satan. Without this converting grace and renewing power, man would continue a servant ever ready to do Satan's bidding. But the new principle in the soul creates conflict; the power which Christ imparts enables man to resist the tyrant. To abhor sin instead of loving it displays a principle wholly from above. The antagonism between Christ and Satan was strikingly displayed in the world's reception of Jesus. The purity and holiness of Christ called forth against Him the hatred of the ungodly. His self-denial was a perpetual reproof to a proud, sensual people. Satan and evil angels joined with evil men against the Champion of truth. The same enmity is manifested toward Christ's followers. Whoever resists temptation will arouse the wrath of Satan. Christ and Satan cannot harmonize. "All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." 2 Timothy 3:12. Satan's agents seek to deceive Christ's followers and allure them from their allegiance. They pervert Scripture to accomplish their object. The spirit which put Christ to death moves the wicked to destroy His followers. All this is foreshadowed in that first prophecy: "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed." Why is it that Satan meets no greater resistance? Because the soldiers of Christ have so little real connection with Christ. Sin is not to them repulsive as it was to their Master. They do not meet it with determined resistance. They are blinded to the character of the prince of darkness. Multitudes do not know that their enemy is a mighty general warring against Christ. Even ministers of the gospel overlook the evidences of his activity. They seem to ignore his very existence.

A Vigilant Foe

This vigilant foe is intruding his presence in every household, in every street, in the churches, in national councils, in courts of justice, perplexing, deceiving, seducing, everywhere ruining the souls and bodies of men, women, and children. He breaks up families, sowing hatred, strife, sedition, and murder. And the world seems to regard these things as though God had appointed them and they must exist. All who are not decided followers of Christ are servants of Satan. When Christians choose the society of the ungodly, they expose themselves to temptation. Satan conceals himself from view and draws his deceptive covering over their eyes. Conformity to worldly customs converts the church to the world, never the world to Christ. Familiarity with sin will cause it to appear less repulsive. When in the way of duty we are brought into trial, we may be sure God will protect us; but if we place ourselves under temptation we shall fall sooner or later. The tempter often works most successfully through those least suspected of being under his control. Talent and culture are gifts of God; but when these lead away from Him, they become a snare. Many a man of cultured intellect and pleasant manners is a polished instrument in the hands of Satan. Never forget the inspired warning sounding down the centuries to our time: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." 1 Peter 5:8; Ephesians 6:11. Our great enemy is preparing for his last campaign. All who follow Jesus will be in conflict with this foe. The more nearly the Christian imitates the divine Pattern, the more surely will he make himself a mark for the attacks of Satan. Satan assailed Christ with fierce and subtle temptations; but he was repulsed in every conflict. Those victories make it possible for us to conquer. Christ will give strength to all who seek it. No man without his own consent can be overcome by Satan. The tempter has no power to control the will or force the soul to sin. He can cause distress, but not defilement. The fact that Christ conquered should inspire His followers with courage to fight the battle against sin and Satan.

Angels Help

Angels of God and evil spirits are plainly revealed in Scripture and interwoven with human history. Holy angels that "minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation" (Hebrews 1:14) are regarded by many as spirits of the dead. But the Scriptures present proof that these are not disembodied spirits of the dead. Before the creation of man, angels were in existence, for when the foundations of the earth were laid, "the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy." Job 38:7. After the fall of man, angels were sent to guard the tree of life before a human being had died. Angels are superior to men, for man was made "a little lower than the angels." Psalm 8:5. Says the prophet, "I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne." In the presence of the King of kings they wait—"ministers of his, that do his pleasure," "hearkening unto the voice of his word," "an innumerable company." Revelation 5:11; Psalm 103:20, 21; Hebrews 12:22. As God's messengers they go forth, like "the appearance of a flash of lightning," so swift their flight. The angel that appeared at the Saviour's tomb, his countenance "like lightning," caused the keepers for fear of him to quake, and they "became as dead men." When Sennacherib blasphemed God and threatened Israel, "the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand." Ezekiel 1:14; Matthew 28:3, 4; 2 Kings 19:35. Angels are sent on missions of mercy to the children of God. To Abraham, with promises of blessing; to Sodom, to rescue Lot from doom; to Elijah, about to perish in the desert; to Elisha, with chariots and horses of fire when he was shut in by his foes; to Daniel, while abandoned to become the lion's prey; to Peter, doomed to death in Herod's dungeon; to the prisoners at Philippi; to Paul in the night of tempest on the sea; to open the mind of Cornelius to receive the gospel; to dispatch Peter with the message of salvation to the Gentile stranger—thus holy angels have ministered to God's people.

TEMPTATION

Temptation, that lane that always looks wide, and is wide, that you're willing to walk even through rain or a steep terrain. Don't walk on that lane!

Matthew 26:41 King James Version (KJV)

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing [has a strong will/strong], but the flesh is weak. (- Jesus C.)

James 1:13-14 King James Version (KJV)

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

James, the half-brother of Jesus was truly a strong man in faith. You can tell this by his work while in the spirit of God writing for us.

Job 2:1-10 New King James Version (NKJV)

Satan Attacks Job’s Health

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?”

Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”

4 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. 5 But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

6 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. 8 And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes.

9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

God allowed Satan to tempt Job a few times actually and never did Job blame God or turn bitter towards God. PASSED with flying colors (with God passing is 100% *ONLY, He knows your heart, it's YES or NO [100% or 0%]).

Matthew 26:41:
Another of the many examples of the Word of God depicting the human soul; a combination of the mind and body/spirit and flesh, not either or the other, but both. So, when your flesh dies, you pass away, your spirit is there too in sleep. A state of sleep according to the Bible. The spirit is not "ETERNAL" as many other worldly religions coin it. Your soul dies with your body when you die physically (the whole package), you're not going anywhere ("nirvana" or 'the purgatory," or "spirit haven,"...none of that actually is real, fairy tales of Satan). Until God revives you during the end of time and resurrection, when the whole project is over you will be in a state of sleep that no one can awaken from or be woken-up ("dead" as we call it).

God (Yahweh) Bless you!

The Fight Against Evil is Real (Wake-Up Call)

Only the vision of the Word of God the Bible clearly defines evil in the human experience, it's operations, it's grand scheme, and how to arm yourself for it to defeat it. Amen! This is one on the list of attributes that the Bible holds alone the title on and no other text can even come near to it.
What is 'evil'?
To most people evil is only a result of bad decisions and people's thoughts. But how do these thoughts come into play? What and where is the source? Everyone is mostly preoccupied to even wonder about the answers to these questions, and that's another problem within itself; the system (this life) has been designed through the powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12) to keep you distracted from  reality and looking in the wrong places. As soon as Eve gave Satan dominion in our realm his kind and his fallen comrades overpowered us in the spiritual field. This battle against all of us humans is what is 'evil' is within itself at the core. This is where all evil comes from, whether it is a small and tiny evil or a large evil. The act of something intelligently and deliberately aimed to cause harm or foul. Although, with the Word of God we can be sure to be prepared with all the knowledge needed to combat the evil in this world.
How do we know?
Take for instance, you become a fresh (new) believer in the Word of God and Jesus C., a new Christian, you will notice a series of random events that will start to take place, more often than before, that will one in one form or fashion try to stop you from either spending quality time studying the Scriptures or sharing it. You can ask many believers about these scenarios unfolding right in front of them including myself. This is a marker in your life, it's actually not bad altogether. God will let some things happen without harming you in the long run just to show you how close evil will be following you and looking for a chance to pierce your defense (your faith). Even seasoned and advanced faithful believers are tempted and do wrestle with evil frequently, and sometimes even every day.
Beware! Look out!
Beware! Satan (the adversary) and his forces, through the mainstream and operating on sin itself, are fooling many into believing that evil doesn't exist so that they can continue to be full open game. Satan, if you were to ask him would even tell you that he is a Christian himself in the form of an angel of light (James 2:192 Corinthians 11:14), just look at all the false preachers and "Messiahs" around that he has working for him. Note: you cannot see evil if you don't put on the armor against it and drop-down your spiritual vision over your eyes which the Word of God and the Holy Spirit only are able to give you. Another note: moreover, if you keep listening to Satan he will even tell you that he doesn't exist. Some atheists will argue to you that evil exists because "you create it" by believing in the Scriptures, but then you can ask them: how is it then that the Bible is able to create something real to begin with if it's "really just a well written group of fairy tales"? You don't just create situations by thinking about them, that's in the comic books sections for "Super Heroes." There are many ways to trip the atheist mindset on itself (btw), it's just another well advertised system of (desperate) beliefs to conform to the words of men in the name of carnal pleasures. Because with sin as our only guidance we'll just tend to believe in anything but the truth (because it's much easier to swallow). And yet another note: evil operates through all people around you through sin, sin is the stream that it travels within to plot against and upset anything that is ultimately good and godly in our hands. Anyone around you can instantly become a possible agent of evil.

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

There's a full out war in every space of our world, if you don't learn about it you'll just be dragged innocently, which is the case for most people unfortunately. Read more about it in the Bible. It's one of the main climax themes of the Bible, the fight of Good and evil.
